Who we are
Gochiso Kitchen, LLC, 2443 Fillmore St #380-5413, San Francisco, CA 94115 ("we"). This policy covers the class-waiver service at waiver.gochisokitchen.com.
What we collect
When you sign a class waiver we collect: your name, date of birth, phone number, email address, postal address, an emergency contact's name and phone number, any allergies or dietary restrictions you tell us about, your signature (typed or drawn), and — if you are signing for minors — their names and dates of birth. We also record technical details of the signing: your device's IP address, browser identifier, timestamps, and cryptographic checksums of the document.
Why
- To document your agreement to the class terms and waiver (this is a legal record we are required to keep).
- To keep you safe in class (allergies and dietary restrictions) and to reach someone on your behalf in an emergency.
- To send you a copy of the signed waiver and, only if you opted in, occasional news by email.
- To use class photos or video on our website or social media, only if you checked that box. You can withdraw that permission any time by emailing us.
How long we keep it
Signed waivers are legal records. We keep them indefinitely, and at least seven years.
Who can see it
The business owner and their delegated staff. The following providers process data on our behalf: Zoho (email delivery), Cloudflare (encrypted off-site backups), Hetzner (server hosting, Finland), Google (administrator sign-in only — Google does not receive your waiver data), and Sentry (error reports, with personal data removed). We do not sell your information or share it for advertising.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the waivers we hold for you, ask us to correct information (by signing a new waiver), or ask us to delete your information. Because signed waivers are legal records, we may be required to keep the waiver itself; in that case we will delete or anonymize the parts we are not required to keep (such as your marketing preference, allergies after the class, and contact details), and tell you what was retained and why. Email info@gochisokitchen.com; we respond within 30 days. You will not be treated differently for exercising these rights.
Cookies
The signing pages use one short-lived cookie to protect the form from cross-site misuse and to show your confirmation page. The administrator area uses a sign-in cookie. We use no analytics or advertising cookies.
Security
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Records are stored on a server accessible only to the business owner, with encrypted off-site backups. Every administrator access is logged. Signed records cannot be edited; corrections are made by signing a new waiver.
Children
We collect information about people under 18 only from their parent or legal guardian, as part of the guardian's waiver.
Changes
We will post any changes here with a new effective date.
